Wedding Receptions
Your wedding will without exception be one of the most important events you will ever have to organise. Your wedding reception will be a large part of that event and one that your guests are likely to remember most.
Therefore, it is important that your wedding reception runs smoothly and is enjoyable for everyone. If you hire MPEntertainment to be your wedding DJ then you can rest assured that we understand that how important it is that we get it right on the night as well.
Remember it’s your wedding reception and everything should be exactly as you want it. However, planning a wedding reception can be a daunting experience for anyone. The following are observations from our experience of many standard wedding receptions:
Set Up & Arrival
We will arrive approximately 1 ½ hours before the scheduled start time of your disco. This gives us time to coordinate the sound and lighting effects before your guests arrive. If your guests will be arriving before our scheduled start time, notify us and we will ensure that your mobile disco is set up with minimum disruption to you and your guests.
In addition to this one of the additional services we are able to provide is an early setup. This usually means that we will have setup the disco long before your guests arrive or your ceremony has even taken place.
In conjunction with this you may wish to also include the hire of our PA system and radio mics.
You may also wish to hire our services as your Toastmaster/Wedding Coordinator on the day and we are more than happy to provide this as part of the services we offer.
Background Music
While your guests are arriving you can expect to hear suitable background music that will set the atmosphere, played at a volume level that will allow guests to converse. In our experience Swing and Classical music are best suited to be used as background music.
If you have included the early setup service as part of your package and/or if we are acting as a co-ordiantor on the day then we will be more than happy to provide suitable background music during your wedding breakfast.
Later in the evening
As they are important parts of the evening we have separate sections for the first dance, last dance and cutting of the cake.
We will of course announce the buffet if you are having one – bacon and sausage butties are all the rage at the moment or if you have the budget to stretch for it spitroasts provide something that is visually impressive and tastes pretty good as well.
In addtion to this we are also be able to announce any additional events you have planned for your event.
